A great spot for skiing with two lifts a mere 50 metres away! Our one-bedroom apartment was well-equipped, very clean, and surprisingly spacious for four. Fresh bread was available daily from the nearby supermarket. Perfect for a ski holiday, though be ready for cold veggies at dinner.

Clean and comfortable accommodations provided a decent stay.

The room was significantly smaller than anticipated, and I found it hard to navigate the maze-like layout of the hotel. Parking was incredibly confusing without any clear directions, taking us 30 minutes to find the right spot. The kitchenette had many supplies but critically lacked a sponge and dish detergent, leading us to buy them during our short stay.

The atmosphere, the accessibility, the swimming pool was absolutely delightful.

The Planibel Hotel in La Thuile has an unbeatable location, with ski lifts only 50 metres away, making morning access to the slopes a breeze. Our one-bedroom apartment offered ample space for four of us, equipped with two bathrooms, which was a big win for our group. Each morning, we enjoyed fresh bread from the supermarket just down the road, perfect for breakfast at our kitchen table. The decor in our apartment seemed newly updated and was very clean. The La Racletta restaurant nearby provided a fantastic dining experience, with friendly service and dishes that were enjoyable. We also appreciated the availability of ski equipment rentals nearby and the ski pass vendor right on-site, making all the arrangements super convenient. the experience was not without its drawbacks. The noise levels in our apartment were significant. We could hear the lift operation sounds late into the night, disrupting our sleep quite a bit, so I recommend asking for a room away from the lift. Some issues with cleaning standards surfaced—on arrival, we were welcomed by a toilet that hadn't been cleaned properly, and the response from the reception staff was less than satisfactory. They seemed dismissive, which was frustrating during an already inconvenient situation. Another minor issue was a feeling of being charged for services, like needing to pay extra for fresh towels after using the kitchenette. These were annoying aspects that made the stay slightly less enjoyable.

It was just a fine choice for a mini-break over the weekend in La Thuile with best value for money ratio. The sound insulation issues made it a bit hard to sleep, but the staff were willing to help me find a quieter room. Avoid staying here on weekends if noise bothers you.
